Later:
That crashed and burned quickly. Firstly it took me ages to find any tutorials. I had to go to YouTube where the algorithm tried to palm me off with more The Rest Is Politics podcasts. Eventually I got to (MonkeyPost) Automation Sequence for Beginners.
Holy Moly. Secondly, yet again, I was listening to a very high-voiced monotonous lecture from a child gabbling through her script and whizzing about with her mouse as well as not explaining any of the things she was doing. No, I am not going to bloody subscribe, you squeaking gerbil.
This is how you do it: you explain, in words of one syllable, what an Automation Sequence actually is in a way that’s comprehensible. Then you explain how you set one up, step by step. That’s it. Of course, that takes a lot more work and thinking than just having some intern drivelling over incomprehensible diagrams.
So I gave up on videos and flipped straight to reading a recipe section. I might make baba ganoush which I love for the aubergines.
I also realised I talked to Support on Wednesday, not Friday, because I was extremely busy with a regular bookclub I go to on Thursday and then I made flapjacks to take to an old friend’s wonderful birthday party, where I danced all night and even managed a bit of pogoing.
To continue. I’m even more confused now. I tried to build a survey last week (to distinguish the would-be Beta-readers from the rest). I built it but I don’t know what to do next and I certainly have not the foggiest clue about the Automation Sequence. Any time I try to explore, I just get more mystified.
So I’m going to have another go tomorrow. Support is six hours before me, so their 9 am is my 3pm.
And now I think I’m going to continue with the enormous project of clearing my bedroom, bookcase by bookcase, which will at least make me feel virtuous and successful, even if not with Automation Sequences.
